Immigrants helped local people during Christmas too. In 1969, the Pakistan Immigrant Welfare Association in Bradford made Christmas hampers for the elderly and organised a Christmas party for poor families.



The secretary of the association:

“It is our city…we want to do everything we can to help them.”

Are immigrants ‘outsiders’ if they love the community as much as the local people do?
